Meet Andrew Jakubiz — Principal Consultant
With 20+ years of experience across real estate development, commercial lending, and business consulting, Andrew founded Ursa Capital Ventures to bring institutional-grade financial analysis to entrepreneurs and growing businesses throughout BC and Canada.
Andrew's career spans roles as Senior Underwriting Analyst at a major trust company (CMHC-insured multi-family lending), VP Finance for a real estate development firm (structuring $60MM+ in development financings), and senior positions at commercial mortgage services and financial advisory firms. He has personally supported over $100MM in financing solutions across commercial real estate, hospitality, and multi-family development.
Before entering finance, Andrew was a successful entrepreneur in the hospitality industry, founding and operating hotels, restaurants, bars, and food service concepts over 11 years. This hands-on experience in business operations, cash flow management, and execution risk informs every financial model and business plan he builds today.
